key in ignition ?

Hi all ive just got back from a long weekend away and after parking up and taking the key out of the ignition it came up key in ignition and beeped and it would not lock , after a few goes it locked , could this be the fob battery needs replacing as it did beep and say key battery low while away.

Start by cleaning your ignition barrel. A bit of graphite powder or similar and work the key in and out a few times.

mine has been doing that for 4 years i have cleaned the barrell but it still does it. it dont give me any trouble locking/unlocking but mabye thats because my imobileiser is deactivated
