Just missed an appointment as I had the "key code lockout" message.

I know this has been covered before but I just need clarification on a few things.

Been through the EKA procedure several times now and they've all failed.

I had a flat battery, recharged it and popped it on.

Key Code Lockout message displayed on dash. Closed door and went through EKA procedure and it beeped with each turn which I now know is wrong. The bonnet was up at the time and I've just read elsewhere that it needs to be closed.

So, left it 30+ minutes until the message went.

Started again, this time no beeping. On the final turn to unlock there was a beep, but all the doors remained locked other than the drivers door (I thought that they'd all unlock?). No message on the dash but the immobilised light was flashing so still locked I assume?

Went through the process another 3 times and the same happened again, finally displaying the Key Code Lockout message once more.

Just what is the procedure when the message has gone and you need to try EKA?

  • Should the door be in a locked position first?
  • Does the bonnet need to be closed?
  • Should it beep with each turn or not?
  • Should all the doors unlock with the final turn?
  • After the final turn of sequence, do you need to lock it and open it again before using?

Cheers in advance.

start with door locked mine does not bleep but still works, bonnet needs to be shut befor you start, where are you some body may be able to help?

Newport, south wales.

Its ok cheers, I'll try again this evening, a mechanic lives just up the road and has probably done it before so I'll given him a bell.

Thanks
