k and n's on a rover 3.5 carb detox engine?

I would store them away safely for the day you may want to replace them, you know how people like original setups :) After fitting the K&Ns you will need to get your carbs set up on a rolling road dyno though, if you don't your engine will likely run weak at higher revs, leading to lots of expensive engine damage.
 
another thing i was going to ask as well was what do i look out for when the engine is running weak,like stalling or what sightns? and also how would you suggest to keep the eldows on the carbs becuase they seem to just come looks? thanx :)
 
To check for weak mixture keep an eye on your plugs` colour. Light/mid brown =good, no worries. Having had a K&N filter in the past I wouldn`t bother again: too messy to keep cleaning `em. Paper replaceable much easier for lazy gits like me.
