Hello everyone! Just getting into the landy scene, although I haven't got one yet, I'm hoping to get a tax exempt series landy as soon as poss.
Come to think of it, anyone want to swop for a well sorted COMPLETELY RUST FREE (being a jap import) toyota hylux surf 2.4 auto diesel? I've spent loads on it, too many replaced parts to mention, (but if interested will give you a list). it has a mint chassis, that I totally waxoiled to keep that way, It has alot of history, and a recent full service with a new cam belt and tensioner. It has never been off roaded it does have all terrain tyres on it though, and has a full tow pack. (only towed 3 times with it)
Sorry if I'm swearing, but it's worth a try! What I'm looking for is a tax exempt landy, that has a good chassis/bulkhead, it would have to have a half decent 3ltr engine convertion or bigger to pull my heavy caravan, I'm not hung up on originality, as long as it has no major faults.
Anyway, Think I'm going to love this forum, and will come in useful for info that I will undoubtfully need later when I get one! Although I'm a classic car restorer by trade, I haven't restored a landy since my late teens which was a 1966 series.
