mine were the import 3ltr hilux surf.they drove ok,prob better than the diso i have.but everyone said they were indestructable unlike the 2.4.

however, the first one seized up going down the road due to bottom hose poppin off.
the second one i bought was all tricked up.5" lift.
used to blow front diff regular off roading.
lost drive few times after swamping it in the wet stuff.yeh it were a bit deep over the lap.but dont know if it lost drive cus of being an auto.

latter the head went on that one aswell.

after spending on it my missis manage to write it off.twisting somthing when exiting the road rather quickly.
werent brill on mpg lucky to get 28 to a gallon.
so landrovers...its the future;)

they are just as bad in differnt ways, cost me 3k in 2 years including buying it for my last 4 door rrc and it was still a dog when I sold it although a well welded dog at that lol.

4x4's are never cheap and rarely good :D

don't be ashamed, the slitty thing is a way better vehicle

i have one, wish I'd have got one years ago

used to have a couple of surfs.
just put.wish i wudav had a landrover pounds ago.lmao

there are a few comments to say the least....:hysterically_laughi
Haha well done lad,
my uncle owned a couple of toyotas ( Hilux surf and Land Cruiser) and he had loads of trouble with them both. I much prefer my landys :D

Honestly...... what's the point going on another forum and just winding up the members? Have they done something to you? Offended your tastes because they've bought something that doesn't have a green oval on the front?

I'm not proud of this but I want a surf………….not gonna lie I actually like the look of them

The main attraction is that the rear windscreen goes down all the way and the boots huge so you can sit in there with a rifle and lamp from the comfort of a japanese car

However, insurance is ridiculous as are parts so its a no go. I'm saving up for a Hilux Invincible as they're as tough as anything on the road and will actually go offroad properly
