Failed on the following points!

----

No head or side lights (due to no switch!)

Steering box needs adjustment

NSF wheel bearing needs adjustment

Worn rear top shocker bushes

Handbrake needs adjustment

Rear seatbelt stalk missing! (never noticed that!!!!)

Rear seat belt mounts corroded

Offside screen washer inop

Small weld needed on NS sill

Rear crossmember needs a small weld

Emissions HC to high 1324 limit is 1200.

---

I took it to Simmonites in Bradford rather than a normal car type garage as I wanted someone who actually
works on these to have a good look. I asked him to give a very thorough once over too & he said overall
it's in great condition & all the things can be sorted easily. I **** my pants when the emissions were
high, but he said it's easy enough to sort with a good engine service & tune up (he said it's not setup
correctly at the minute) The CO wasgood at 0.19%

The main one is the rear crossmember repair as it's not easy to get at. I plan to do everything myself
except the welding (I'm **** with a welder!!!)

Got a new light switch from a scrappers for a pound today!

The BEST thing is the missing has stopped!!!! He reckoned a fuel blockage!!

All in all not too bad really! Just typical RRC stuff!

Anyone in or around Leeds/Bradford want to quote me on the welding jobs??

Cheers

Nige

I would do the welding for you...only some *kin tw*ts nicked my mig :-( and
things like sills are too thin for me to do with my arc :-(

If you cant get anyone, but can get hold of a mig, I'd be more than happy to
do it for you

Nice one matey!

I'll rent one for the day!

Are there special mountings for the rear seat belts?
Nige

Any chance you can take pics of the areas that need the welding?

Which mounts have the corrosion, the ones on the wheel arch or the ones that
mount the retractor assembly(Im guessing they are on the rear inner wing)

I cant say for range rover , but generally most mounts are just a captive
nut behind the panel.

johnty

To email me change NOSPAM for pipex

That's a very nice offer matey, I can hire a MIG for about £35 for the weekend. I am free next weekend if
you are mate?

You can show me how to use the thing!

E-mail me direct & I'll send you my mobile number etc & we can have a chat?

Of course I will pay you for your time!

The ones that usually go on a rangie are the ones on the rear wheel arches.
piece of **** to do, nearly flat panel with easy access to both sides.
