£500 with 6m tax. Mechanically sound.
Took it to MoT after spending £50 on fixing broken lights, cracked steering wheel, etc.
It passed!!!!
The plan: just drive it for 12 months, then decide what to do with it.
Options:
1. scrap it if too much work come Feb 2008 MoT
2. take the body off it and build a 100" series hybrid (an 88" body with side panels and roof stretched 12" behind the doors). But then everyone and his dog has a hybrid (and they're worth only £2k when it comes to selling), so how about a silly body to put on - like a non-stressed kit car (eg 1935 Ford Pop sit-up and beg) nah that's silly!
3. just repair it and keep driving it til it dies.
Anway, I'm glad I got it. Expecting ultimatum from 'er indoors anytime soon tho'
