Just a quick tyre question

am I right assuming on the18 rimms the maximum tyresize.i can get on is 255?
Without modification like wheelspavers etc pp.

Just asking as I been told by a tyre dealer.go for 265 .

???

Why is the tyre seller saying that? Do they have a pile of tyres they're trying to get rid of?
Unless you have a need, stay original and there's no excuse for the insurance company to put the price up

He just said if I go for 265 they cheaper. Lol.

And he only made them 8 pound cheaper each.

I dont go for expensive make or names anyway. Not paying a name.

So prefered 255 55 r18 but seems you only get good deals when you ask for 2.

So how it looks I go and get 2 and send her next day get another 2. Lol.

But sill checking all dealers around first which one gives me the best prices.

Wheel spacers do not change the profile of tyre. Diameter will still be same.

you're driving a p38 if I recall. WHen I got mine, it had 19" wheels on, but i've swapped back to 16"
the approved options are 255/55R18 or 255/65R16
I dont know if 265/55R18 will fit the vehicle/wheel without issue but if it does, you'll see a very marginal speed decrease on your speedo (1mph @60mph)

true, but would push the wheel out so it doesnt rub on the chassis.
that said its only 1/4"

There was a lovely D2 around here, guy has now stuck 22” L322 alloys on it.
