Hi I'm a new member.
I have just bought a used Freelander (1.8 petrol 1999) and It's causing me some problems. The guy I bought it from didn't mention anything and I didn't notice straight away but it judders quite badly and seems to be low on power.
Since i've had it i've replaced the coil, Distributor cap, Rotary arm, HT leads and Spark plugs. Plus had a full service. It seemed better but then I drove from Bristol to Cornwall and it all seems to be back as it was.
When I pull away it has no power and then kicks in and kangaroos along for a bit so I must look to other people like i don't know how to drive. It judders badly in 3rd gear and doesn't seem to have power when i went to overtake on the motorway.
I'm trying to find out exactly what it could as the last time I took it to the garage they tried everything (as above) that they could think of that might resolve it at a cost and it hasn't sorted anything.
Any advice or information from anyone would be very much appreciated.
