I have a Range Rover 2.5 DSE 1999 model... I had what I thought was an over-heating problem... when going up a hill the temperature gauge drifted into the red with the result the engine died on me... After twenty minutes the engine would start and I could continue my journey... I changed the water pump as I was told BMW had made a design fault on this unit... the engine does not now over heat... but going up hills after a short time the engine still continued to cut-out on me... and after twenty or so minutes will restart again as if nothing is wrong... only to cut out again at the next hill...

The car seems to run OK on the flat and when the heater is on HI...

Has anyone else experienced this interesting problem... maybe air is getting into the fuel... ???

Looking forward to the replies...
