So today I will be mostly:

Puzzling out the wiring on my new (to me) Disco. In the back is a box (with cables) for another battery so I need to find out if that actually works. At the moment there isn't a battery in there and the terminals are all wrapped up in insulating tape. I have a few batteries laying about so if it works I can move it to under the bonnet in preparation for the winch I'll get when I can afford it :)

It also has a Kenlowe fan fitted which I've only heard come on when I turn it on with the manual switch but reading on here it seems that they don't come on much anyway. Have to wait and see with that one I suppose. Normal driving sees the temp gauge just shy of the middle.

Sorting out the leaky spare. Copious amounts of water/washing up fluid show it leaking slightly around the bead so I'll try whipping it off and reseating it. My mate has a tyre machine but no balancer. I'm guessing though that balancing won't be too much of an issue at Disco speeds.

Next is the diflock. The little thingy (tech term) works where it goes into the transfer box so I guess it's center console off and PlusGas FTW!

Should keep me busy for a few hours :)

Well the second battery charges, the difflock works but I let the handbrake go past vertical and now I can't get the spring back in.

Oh well, net gain I suppose :)
