Sounds good to me Boydy I have a Ball/pin hitch on the rear and a pair of Jate rings. and a HD tubular bumper with recovery points on the front. But the OP was asking about front recovery points. Wrapping a rope round a standard landy bumper is a BIG no no!! as the edges of the bumper can easily cut thru the rope.

Yeah that was my only concern when i did, it, at the time had no choice, now have a tow ball :)

Broke my 12ton non stretch rope not long ago though, pulling a bloody LWB VW Van out.

He took a sharp turn into a side road down a lane, got it well wrong and the front wheels dropped off the road, and so the wishbones were on the tarmac, front wheel drive in a van of that size, not going anywhere.

Tried to pull it out with non strech rope first, and it broke. :( was my dads, and so about 30 years old, an probably not 12ton any more :)

Made me check all my other odd bits properly though!

I towed a LWB hitop Transit full of rock drilling gear after he ran out of fuel. Used my brandnoo shiny 5tonne tow strap Pulled him into the filling station. & the daft bastid drove over the top of the strap as I pulled him in front of the fuel pump snapped the fooker clean in half. Fair play to him though he gave me a tenner to buy a noo one.
