I'm looking for someone to service my auto box I'm not having any issues just working my way through the freelander. I'm based in Herts Welwyn garden city area and wondered if anyone could recommend a garage that knows what they are doing with this box, doesn't have to be in Herts but would be nice. Thanks in advance

If it's got no issues, just drain a little fluid and see what condition it's in. You cannot change the filter without removing the box so fluid is your only option. If you do get a garage to do it, make sure they understand the drain & fill-level plugs are both on the bottom. NOT the torx bolt on the side which gets mistaken for fill plug.

Hi, it's pretty straight forward to do it yourself but otherwise I've heard a couple of good reports about Bennington 4x4 nr Stevenage & AJD 4X4 in Ware. I've not used either as I do all my own servicing/repairs but could be worth looking them.

Thanks for the replies. I have the skill set to do the job myself but my health isn't what it was, so I still do some work on it myself but have to farm some jobs out when my health dictates. It dawned on me yesterday that Aylmer motorworks is 10 minutes away from me so will pop in and have a chat with them, thanks again
