Jap Import 300TDi

Got my eye on a Jap import 300TDi Disco 1, the car is absolutely mint with
high spec, leather, air con, auto box and not a speck of rust etc but the
dealer sells them for between £9-10k. Question is, are they worth paying the
extra for? (I doubt I would get it back on re-sale). Last 300 Disco I had
was a nightmare but I only paid 3 grand and it showed.

Forgot to say it is a 98'S with 52k on the clock.

Hi Andy,

I am running a Japanes import it is a Land Rover Discovery 2.5TDI XS AUTO
1996 English P Reg. 7 seater. Japanese import. Only done 60,000 miles. It
has no rust and bodywork is excellent. I have injected every single thing I
can find to inject with Ankor Wax (bit like Waxoyl)

These Japanese imports are better than any englsih model. The one I have is
superb. I paid £7500 and it has been worth it.

The only thing to rmember is you really wont get that much back. If it's
where i think it is on Town lane they do offer good service (I bought a
Trooper years ago) & will bend on price. There is a bloke called Fillip
(yeah, spelt like that) who's a landie nut, you'll have seen hisDisco with a
howling moon roof tent!! He's the bloke to see. Have a good look at service
records too, they are in Japanese, but you can see the records etc. Another
thing to remember is that airbags need chaniging every 10 years & that's why
theyare here in the first place.

Another thing to remeber is you can get a good S2 Disco for less than that,
but it wont be as tidy!!
