I really like this colour, I was going to do mine silver but am being drawn towards this. do you have the code for it? I just can't decide how it would look on a 110sw.

Rioja red, which the paint code is CAQ I think.

I also like rimini red if you are looking at colours.

Flatdog roof rack on. Sorry it isn't clean for the pics!

Also just ordered a 42" LED light bar, plus 4x 18w ones with the LEDs in a straight line.

Couple of updates to here, got my spot lights fitted and wired in properly with relays, the front one is epically bright, possibly too bright!

This summer marks a second minor rebuild and will include; new wings, new doors, hopefully a full respray and more internal kitting out for expeditions. Poss a gearbox rebuild too as it is getting a bit crunchy, all as funds allow. I'm kind of half starting an expedition kit ebay company, so this would be a good show vehicle.

Last weekend it got a much needed oil change and fuel filter change, as well as lubricating of the pin in the injection pump. Is it supposed to have diesel in it?!

Seems to be smoking quite a lot, whiteish. Any ideas?

This week has been an interior revamp, tidying up some frankly terrible wiring, fitting a new stereo and changing the wiper spindles. I'm half way through now. It also got a much needed clean behind the dash.

I'm after some TDCI complete doors, so if people see any please let me know

Hi James
have you started doing the body work yet ?
No, I've been on a 5 week drive to Mongolia in a 2002 VW Polo. Got back yesterday! Gotta pay off some debt from that and then I will start on the Defender
All looks great, good job.

like the rear under cross member protection plate, is this the same as the TD5 one for the rear fuel tank ?
Yeah, mine has both TD5 and TDi fuel tanks, they are both Terrafirma Ali ones. Weren't amazingly easy to fit, but were ok with the help of some big washers. I painted them black with some stonechip as the ali had reacted with the road salt
S&P LR do complete Puma doors. Looking good!
I hadn't seen complete ones, do you have a link? I saw you could buy the parts separately, but couldn't find any door cards.

Had mine from keith Gott complete doors £1200
They were a bargain, can't find any more for that price

Updates...now I have some more free time I'm starting to do some of the stuff on my list, so far it is:
General tidy up of surface rust underneath
Swap out rad pipes for silicon ones
Doors
Wings
Tidy up of inside
Respray if I ever get enough $$ together
Fit a pair of the LED lights I am selling
Proper alarm

So to start with I am doing the awkward jobs before winter comes, painting underneath.

I started to just do the springs, but it was clear that the rest also would benefit from some more paint. The plan is to zinc primer everything and then rustoleum on the black bits, and plastidip on the springs so it can flex. Whether that is a good battle plan or not remains to be seen

Start by taking it all apart

Then sanded down the springs, Terrafirma really need to get their act together on painting

Then zinc primer on everything

I haven't done the whole axle as at some point it all needs taking off to assess the state of the rear diff and to fix the weeping seal
