Sorry to read that Paul. If it's B&Q's cock up, lean on them, sale of goods act and all that.:)

Yup, I have spent hours on the phone to B&Q HQ.... In a nutshell, the measured the kitchen, buy forgot to measure floor to ceiling.... Ordered tall units..... Won't fit as too tall.Doh..... Not to mention damaged bade units .. never again.....

Keith,
They sent a designer to the house ..... But never measured floor to ceiling.... Another Designer around today to try and sort out missing pieces ...... Will put the question over ...about free fitting for compensation....

Quite strongly I hope they fuc up why should you have to pay for their mistakes.
They usually use contract fitters so not really their fault they fit what the plan says if plan is wrong then screw B&Q until they get it right

Totally agree - no reason why you should be out of pocket for their error, and you should be compensated for inconvenience as well as financial costs.

If they sent a designer round, then it's squarely their problem, their error in failing to correctly measure.
Sale of goods act covers it, tell them to sort it or you will go to the small claims court:)
