Sat outside the supermarket just now in monsoon type rain and just happened to glance over at the passenger door as a drop of water fell from (just inside and above) the door-seal. Gutted!

Looks like I'll be spending a weekend cozying up with the headlining

Check the door seals, windscreen seal, any roof bar/rack /radio aerial holes, alpine roof lights if fitted.

Bugger, might as well take the headlining down and have a peer round with a torch.

Too far back in the cab and too high to be screen or door seals (stationary when rain started) reckon it's probably the seal around the front bolt of the roof bar.

Still, while the lining's out I can have a go at fixing the front sunroof's bent runner I guess.

To top the day off I lost all behind-the-centre-console lighting (pain in the arse to fit new bulbs on a '95 ES) and the cruise stopped working for about 1/2 an hour. That really annoyed me cuz I only go it working at the weekend!

Seems fine again now but bloody odd driving with a dark cab and just the green of the dash!

ive got a leak in the passenger foot well if it rains heavy or i wash it. water drips behind the dash through the wiring loom and creates a uddle in the footwell! checked everything and no sign to where it comes from, but as they say landys do leak....

Had torrential rain over night, was convinced I'd be climing into a swimming pool this morning... not so much as a damp patch.

Rained on/off all day (****y weather), still not a drop.

Buggered if I'll take the lining out for nothing!

just open the sunroofs use baby wipes to clean up the edges of sunroof and seal spray the rubber with silicone spray or wipe a smear of vasaline round it cured mine must have ben a bit of muck stuck between rubber and seal only let the odd drip in when parked facing downhill (steep drive)
:):):)

What usually happens is that the whatever leaks and the water sits on the headlining, then when you get in and drive the water rolls around like one of those ball-bearing games 'til it gets to a low bit.

I did my leaky sunroof but haven't attempted the lights around the heater controls...I could do with some braille switches....

Ugly Duck,

I had the same problem as you!! I solved it after months of probing and checking! Have a look under the bonnet below the plastic panel where the wipers are. If you look under it you will see where the bulkhead panel joins the bottom of the windscreen - there is a seam between the 2 panels there. i found that it was slightly corroded around one of the screws/bolt heads directly above the area where i was getting the constant drip - bit of seam sealer liberally applied to the whole seam and the leak has stopped!!! And it has been fully tested in the rain we had here in Ayrshire earlier this week!
