1 lights come on when car is started even though switched of
2 no elec windows
3 no c/l
4 eas will not go all the way down

last time i cleaned up a few plugs as suggested by someone re conected the battery and all was good so thought i had solved the prob but it is back now so disconected the battery and the fault has gone again so was the fact i diconected the battery and not the plugs i cleaned up that got rid of the problem with this in mind does anyone have any new suggestions as to what the problem may be also would it be worth having the ecu reset or something

The little shock is just static electricity, do you have cloth seats? I presume the air is dry at the moment in the UK.

Bad earths/connections to the BECM might be a good place to start.

no have leather seats not cloth and has not always done it that why thought may be something to do with it but guess not was just a thought and not gonna burn it just yet all conections look ok but will remove all plugs at the weekend and give them a good clean thanks and if any other ideas let me know thanks

Use a good contact cleaner not WD40:eek:
