Hi there,I live in a sleepy town called Dawlish, I recently achieved a long held dream and got a Range Rover P38, Dad had classics when I was knee High to a grass hopper and ever since then I have been infected with the land rover bug and have had a couple but I have always loved and adored the Range Rover and I have now acheived my dream of owning one my self I know it will come with it trials but its a land rover so thats to be expected and such a trial is currently occuring but thats another story so if there are any of you that fancy saying hi it would be great to talk and such not just because my old girl is misbehaving lol, and I currently work at a place restoring 200 and 300tdi's.

Welcome to the forum

May I offer me deepest sympathy fer becoming a P38 owner. ;)

Hippo thank you for the condolences, and I will indeed be posting in the range rover forum for a person with nancom or Hawkeye near me lol good to make your acquaintance both of you.

Welcome aboard :)

Nice bus, the P38 .... provided you can cope with lectronical wizardry ;)

When you say "restoring 200 & 300Tdi's" - do you mean the engines, or deafeners with said engine, or ???

:)

I mean defenders with said engines although have done a couple of head gaskets and am hopefully going to attempt a full rebuild of a 200 block soon.

Welcome aboard!

Infectious these P38's aren't they! ;)

To go against popular belief the P38 is quite simple when compared to its modern compatriots.

Is she a diesel or petrol?

And 'ave you got any piccies? ;)

received_316695959158888.jpeg Yes compared to modern motors very simple although the lack of OBD2 compatibility is a pain, she is a 2.5 diesel

But for all her faults there is nothing like climbing into the big old bus at the end of the day and bumbling my way home with a big smile on my face.

Hi and welcome!

Can’t help much with the new RR but I know Dawkins from my holidays there as a kid.

Looks like your RR started life in the Gloucester area judging by the registration plate...
