Any one have a picture of the adapter bellhousing to mate 2.8td Isuzu engine to Land Rover gearbox?
How different is it do ya know and is it an easy conversion?

My 2.8 is coming out of the scrap jap next month and I'm wondering if twould be prudent ta keep it and put it in me mates 110 as his v8 is about shot:scratching_chin:

Also had an offer for the engine if it has an adaptor bit/things to mate it to landy.:)
 
Not sure about the santana box but a v8 lt77 in a disco/range rover is a very easy conversion. have made and fitted many of them.
I would think being for a v8 the santana conversion would be very much the same, using a 10mm adapter plate and a boss for the spigot bush.
The defender one however is a bit more involved and more expensive as the adapter plate is about 3 inches thick as opposed to 10mm.
unfortunately i have no pictures of the ones i have made but they have all been successful and are still being used.

Ta for that, I have an lt77 out of a disco diesel, if that would fit the zoo zoo better/cheaper. The gear levers would be further back but I dont think that would matter with me mate as he likes things a bit different:) . Might be cheaper to look for later v8 box then.......
A friend says he has a bell housing to mate santana to Isuzu, I'm going to have a look after christmas.
So input shaft needs adaptor then.:) which means gearbox back a bit and hence the spacer plate, or am I wrong on that?
 
gearbox will stay in place but engine will be slightly further forward which is a good thing as the isuzu has no housing around the flywheel like a v8 as far as i can remember, or its very short.
if ur mate has a plate i would get that and use the lt85 as they are good boxes and it will fit straight on.
