Hi guys!

I got an issue with these switches that automatically change if lets say your going on the motorway, then it switches to the motor way mode, I have no idea what they are called but you guys probably know what I'm talking about.

Anyway whenever It decides it wants to adjust its mode now the light on those little switches would constantly flash for about 30 seconds and the car would kind of shake up and down like it was going crazy because it doesn't know what to do.

What is the cause of this problem and how can it be fixed?

Thanks

could be the ride height switch and ride height sensors,

one test is to sit in the car close doors, put in P or N start engine and press the switch to the 'alight' position(bottom one) it should drop to allow easy egress/boarding then switch to the line normal mode. it shoild the go quickly and easily to this mode.

also when the car drops over night as most do, you should see it go to the line within a few seconds.

when the car travels at 50 mph for a certain period of time it will change to motorway mode.

i would suggest height sensors but if the other modes work fine without the issue i would suggest gettig it checked on a diagnosicts machine
it would be advisable to get it on testbook or similar at specialist, should only cost abot 35-45 quid and see if there are any probs logged

this also may explain more clearly
