Quick pic for you on a rainy day waiting for valve guide seals for other heads and decided to go through some other parts all seem ok apart from this head good apart from two cam journals, I think this broke a cam at some point, what do you think, beyond useable?

That has had some crap go through the oilways, I would not scrap it until you have no need for it, even then someone somewhere might need one, and a scored cam journal will be the least of their concerns.

Cam journal can be repaired! But the cost of sending to a specialist ìf your unable to remove the head yourself??

That's fixable - spray transfer welding & line boring, TBH I'd get new valves & seats at the same time, then you've got a good exchange head to use or sell. It's not scrap by any means.

Thanks guys yes will take it to ivor Searle engineering next time I go over they do a head rebuild for about £300 ish
