Is this the correct thermostat? 300tdi

Hi

Wanted to change the thermostat in my 300tdi. The old one was a waxstat and had 75 stamped on it. Which i beleive is the opening temp.

My new stat arrived today from land rover. Part number ERR3291. Which also has waxstat stamped on it. However the number is 313.

Im just Hopeing its an 88 degree one, how will i know which it is? Ive included a few pics just incase. I was going to boil it in water, but my thermometers arent accurate enough.

I just googled the part number and found this.



Thermostat part number ERR3291. This fits the 300TDi engines in the Land Rover Defender Discovery 1 & Range Rover Classic 92-94.
The thermostat is fully open at 88 degrees. This will fit the models with or without Air Conditioning.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah ive also read that, and thats why i ordered that one. I just thought it was odd without the opening temperature. Are the cooler stats a different part number then?
