Right,

A week or so ago I put petrol into the wifes diesel Mondeo, (**** I know, she did tell me)

I got the car home and drained it all off, the Mondeo's computer said there was 30miles worth of diesel left in the tank when I put the petrol in and I put £30 worth of petrol on it.

I have on a large container in my garage with this slightly contaminated Petrol. my question is, is it ok to use in the Rangoe or best just taking it to the tip for disposal.

Cheers James

i'd be incline to dilute a bit more 30 miles of diesel plus reserve. is probably about 2galls + £30 (approx 5galls) is a bit too much diesel to be putting in ya motor. add 10gal of petrol and then a gall of the contaminated ****e. and it should be ok.

2 gallon of diesel and £30 of petrol in the mix.

I will have a quatre of a tank of petrol in the rangie left tomorrow night, so what is that £25,

am I ok to add my contaminated container in tomorrow or need to put more petrol in the rangie 1st.

I run on contaminated fule a lot that I get threw work in my 2.25 3 baring Landrover petrol engine. It's fine for me and often at a 25% deasel ish. Wudnot dream of it in a rangey. At worst I have 2hours cleaning to do. Hawking wuld it take to strip Dawn and fully clean a rangy fule system? Moor than £30 of your time I'm shaw.
