Is this normal?

Please forgive my ignorance - still early days of Landy ownership and my first attempts at any 'real' mechanics.

I was doing some work under Daisy The Disco today and noticed this... should this be connected to anything? On the N/S the same part looks like it's connected to the steering damper.

Nope as long as steering bars and damper present, no problem

They use the same casting for LH and RH.

You know what I'm glad you asked because I wasn't sure what it was for either lol!

its for left hand drive versions. on a left hand drive the drag link would be connected to the bit in your photo
