Is there an alternative way of tapping into a live feed

Hi all, been doing a lot of rewire work to the landy lately, when it comes to having the item I'm wireing to the ignition live feed I seem to be just scotch locking it to 1-2 of the live wires from the ignition. Is there anything that I can add to a live feed and then all my bits and bobs can then be added to this (bit like a plug adaptor you have in the home) thanks guys

Scotch locks are the devils work. Use the ignition live to switch a relay that feeds a fuse box like this from the battery http://www.thetoolboxshop.com/0-234...CcGhbsviSuLZmfDJ12OB2WiSqQqyZDjOkhxoCplzw_wcB

There should be spare spades available on the fusebox to pick up a switched live - possibly even an unused fuse slot you can use, but the relay fed extra fusebox (wired straight from the battery) will take some strain off the existing wiring if you've got a lot of extras wired in.

One live in and multi ways out all individually fused with nice blade fuses rather than shonky old glass ones too AND a handy LED to tell you if a fuse has blown .

Or one of these and solder a wire from terminal to terminal on ingoing side.

I have a 16way box done like this using HD cable and a 100Amp main fuse.

If you want it unswitched take the live directly from the battery+ terminal. If you want it to come on with the ignition take it from the battery via a big relay (as MartyC suggested) and energise the relay from the switched ignition feed - any spare spade on fuse 3 or 4 should do it.
