Is there a correct orientation for the clutch pressure plate?

As per title, does it matter as long as the 3 dowels on the flywheel locate in the clutch pressure plate housing?

300tdi engine with LT77 box by the way.

As long as the dowels fit, then the bolts will all line up, making sure the clutch plate is correct way round is more important, and also check the cluctch plate slides freely on the splines of the input shaft before assy.

I remember something about the rivet heads on the pressure plate, sorta lost in the mists though. It might apply to a 1977 mini!
