Hi rr foke.Is it normal for the suspension to alter up and down (about quarter of an inch )when stationary and running. its not a problem just a wast of air the pump has to replace.cheers:)

Yeah, they do that. Sometimes sitting at traffic lights or a junction, they quite often suddenly think they're as much as 2 inches too low and rise up, then go down again etc. Gets funny looks from the driver behind! Essentially the EAS is attempting to keep the car level at all times, and will adjust every now and again to be sure.

Every time the vehicle stops in traffic the front valves open to equalise pressure across the axle. If one side is set slightly to high and has more pressure than the other side this will cause the suspension to drop slightly, it will then rise to match the required sensor position for the one that is set high. If the differential side to side is too great each time the vehicle stops in slow moving traffic this will happen making the front end appear to dance.

HI another RR DSE ,strange thing. If ticking over revs sit at 900,put foot on brake still 900(but touch throttle a little bit wi foot on brake revs drop to 800'750)Now take foot off brake, holding throttle and revs go back to 900 touch brake revs drop.Have small plastic throttle stop fitted under dash ,makes no differance,But if it was bigger revs would drop wi just foot brake, is this ment to save the tranny straining in gear when stopped.:)
