Yeah but we don't bother comming your way that much.......:D:D:D:D:D:D
I spent 4 weeks going to Thorington a few days a week fitting solar panels, thought it couldn't get any worse until the next job was in Brumstead in Norfolk then realised Thorington was ok
. Mind you if I lived in Basingstoke.................

Is that solar water or solar lectrickery?
Nuffing wrong with Basingstoke
That a nuke wouldn't cure:eek:.
Solar Lectrickery, 400Kw 1860 panels System, i'll try to post a pic or email you 1 if you mail me your address.
I was surprised how well PV works and really think it's the way forward.

Government slashing feed in tariff for it, really all they want is to apease the greens and build doomsday machines (nuclear plants) with beyond design and time waste issues.

tidal is far better and can work 24/7 if tethered buoy system, but for compactness nuclear wins in mega watts.

Nuclear is being pushed when we have untreated waste from the miners strike at sellafield-tax payer picks up bill for private for profit company.

If you think that government tells the truth-I can give you a link to just how dangerous our subs are-embarrass the Americans=total lies (un edited mistakenly released MOD report on sub safety)

That was the panic to complete the 400kw before the 1st of August so it still qualified. Working with DNO'S I know they want more embedded generation as they are really struggling to keep up with demand. Especially in the summer now with the amount of AC.

spotted an fixed array at the lighthouse on Westray the other day, fixed at near 90 degrees to the horizon - kinda tells you why PV does work so well up here

but fook it's windy :)

You don't need that much Sun to get a reasonable percentage of the max output.

that's not the sort of argument that'll convince peeps who would be paying for the array out of their own earnings and looking at the potential for saving some money or taking advantage of the FITs, they arent viable up here unless it's as part of a multiple redundancy system where even a small amount of output is considered of use

the evacuated tube systems work well up here

Well I suppose FIT works better down here where the payback time is reasonable.

ah, and it's about time they did away with FIT eligibility for large commercial arrays
Reduced from tomorrow, Effectively anything over 50Kw is going to very hard to make viable from tomorrow. Unless you are using all of the electricity it's producing.
