I thought I had better introduce myself. I do not own a Land Rover but am looking into getting a Series II or early Series III.
It will not be used everyday more of a weekend toy but I need to get a better understanding of them first.
I am okay at basic mechanics but do not want to tackle anything too complex.
In terms of engine, wheelbase and body layout, I am relaxed although I am more drawn to the shorter wheelbase versions. Fuel economy will not be overly important, where as reliability will be.
Any advice on which model to look for and which ones need to be avoided would be good.
