Hi doing my first land rover disco project and what're to know what the best internet site to use for bits and good price is this the best place to shop thanks doing a disco td5 Mark 2 can't wait to start it

As with most things there is no definitive all cheep as hell sight.

I'm afraid google, landrover mags, the for sale section on here and time looking about is your best friend on this

But here are a few reputable ones

Also if you want reliability try and avoided Britpart

You may want to put an intro into the introduction thred, you have come to the best place for info on all things land rover. Just grab your rhino skin coat as banter can be a bit brutal here.

I'd suggest Quality Land Rover Parts Spares and Accessories Online personally! They don't use Britpart for starters

If you know the part numbers you need I'd recommend LRDirect (lrdirect.co.uk - lrdirect Resources and Information. This website is for sale!)

They allow you to choose the brand so you gurarantee no britpart.

The guy who i think runs it is incredibly helpful too, Paul i think it is.

My advice is to ignore the Britpart abusers... they are a budget brand, keep this in mind, but they are fine for plenty of parts, I have had Britpart Rads, Props, Bearings e.t.c. and had no issues whatsoever with them. They are a budget brand so dont expect years upon years of wear but for the money they are fine...

I will add, for electrical and critical components I would go for the best you can afford (sensors, gaskets, water pumps e.t.c.).

i use Britpart sometimes, but avoid metal on metal parts. i use LRDirect.com and you can choose the manufacturer. britpart isn't much cheaper these days for many parts.

PAS pipe for my disco is £40.61 on there - it's £12.10 for the same make on LRDIRECT.com

I've only bought series parts from them and a disco fuel filter

Wont hopefully be needing anymore disco parts as I'm off to look at the series tonight

This was last year, prices might have gone up but I'll still be looking on there first to check if I go shopping

I either use that one or ebay
