Hello all,
I'm hoping that somebody will be able to help me solve a problem.
First of all, my car: A Landrover Discovery 3 54 plate TDV6 2.7 SE
Secondly, and because I think this "might" be important information? I like to service the car myself, changing out the oil and filters etc and on the last service I did, I bought some 'EGR cleaner' - for no particular reason other than cleaning seemed to be a good idea, anyway sprayed some into the air intake (post air box) - the instructions tell you to spray in 1-2 second bursts and to wait until the 'knocking' subsides etc....
....anyway, I think that I sprayed 'too liberally' in one spray because it actually resulted in stalling the engine and I had to turn the engine over and really give her some welly on the accelerator in order to get her started again.
Since that time, I have being intermittently getting a problem where I will literally have no power, even if I put my foot all the way down to the floor in 1st and second gear, acceleration will be really really slow, and then as soon as the tubo eventually kicks in - wooosh! power!!.... Now, as I say it's not like that all of the time but enough of the time to be a bit of a problem. I have since repeated various applications of the EGR valve cleaner (properly and without stalling the engine) and sao if they're not shining like a new penny inside I'd be surprised, but still this problem persists.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? - thanks in advance.
