Hello again,
Following my recent thread 'misbeheaving electrics' I added 3 shiney new earth straps, & new battery and the Defender 1989, SWB (200 tdi coversion) started!
I drove it, parked it, started again no trouble but THEN she went back to the familiar CLICK when I tried later.
I have bench tested the starter & solenoid out of the bus a few times & it seems all ok!
After some cursing I left it, went out this morning and SHE BLOODY STARTED on first go without me doing anything different.
This makes me reluctant to go far as I dont really want to be stuck in the wilds waiting for a 'very nice man' in his little yellow van. (AA to those RAC members!)
She still starts first time later this am but later.....? who knows?
I did try new relays in the fuse box but that made no change.
Any suggestions or is she possessed or grumpy due to my Pathfinder parked beside her? (which has never given me trouble!)
Cheers,
Andy:confused:
