hi markw, i`ve just had the same problem, go to my thread same title as yours, renrut. its a cheap and easy repair £13.20

hi renut,
do you have a part number, or where you had it from?
what they like to fit?
hows yours? did you change the starter first?

any think you can tell me would be great

cheers mark

Hi markw, as others have said make sure the connections on the starter and its solonoid are clean and tight, same with the battery connections. the problem i had was the IGNITION SWITCH ASSY, part number: YXB 100350 at the cost of: £13-20p from main agents, if you give your reg: number and chassis number they will confirm correct part needed. to fit remove the plastic cowl on the steering column. and the switch assembly is secured to the steering lock with two small phillips screws, unscrew these and unclip the small wiring block, refit in reverse, total time to do the whole job should take you approx 3/4 of hour.

thanks renut,
i have already checked the obvious,
have ordered the part so will let you know haw i get on.
are the really as easy as it sounds?

did find that if you wiggle the key starts nearly ever time?
does this sound like yours?

cheers mark
