Classic Interior questions (1982 V8 4-door)

Hi everyone,

so, right now I am restoring my 1982 RRC. The current task is to get rid of the rust. And once that is done painting. My question now is which colour to paint the interior. I have the original carpet floormats (some brown color) and rear seat (again brown, bronze I guess?). The interior metal is black, but looking at pictures of other restored RRCs the whole metal work is painted in the same color as the panels, in my case Sahara Dust.

So, do I paint the interior in Sahara Dust or black? And what color was it orginally?

I have an '84 and interior metal is black. Also have a '92 and interior colour is same as exterior. I think they started painting interior same as exterior around 1990.

Mine's 1986. Black interior metal.
