Puddle lights are on the underside of the door frame,
Footwell lights are puddle lights by proxy, if your carpets are wet.

I have a problem with my interior lights as mentioned in other threads. The centre console above thr driver and passenger does nothing-will not come on or respond to pressing the switches. The boot will not unlock either until the interior lights go out. Mine is a problem with the BeCM I think-so sounds like yours could be similar.
