Hello
IMG_2682.PNG
I am currently fitting a DVD player in my Range Rover voque 3.6 V8 2006. I am going to use the interior dome light wires to power and ground the DVD player, however I can't figure out Which wire is what (constant power, door switch, ground, etc). There are 5 wires in total on an 8 pin connector (as per the picture), but I only need 3.
Please help

use a test light or multimeter

I have tried a multi meter however I am not 100% how to use the thing. I'll you tube it.
find the power wire first the black lead is connected to earth /chasis set the volt meter into DC range allow the interior lights to time out then test for constant power

the remote wire for the dvd screen normally connects to the remote wire to the head unit this is also a 12 volt power signal

Are the lighting cables going to be ok supplying a lot more power to the screens,
its ok having a 12v supply but if its not bigger enough you could do a lot of damage.
