So i went to kerry last week to test out the new wheels, spent the day climbing mountains, green laning, and driving up along what i thought would be a handy enough stream... so attacked it head on, nice and slowly, and after about half an hour of driving along it came to a left hand bend in the stream which got particularly deep on the outer side of the bend, so naturally i aimed for the shallower side seeing as i was the only landy heading up there, and didnt feel like getting wet :D so ventured foreward, with slow speed on the slippery pebble surface only to make it half way round when the back end loses all grip and begins dipping into the meter and a half of water to my right  keeping my cool i slowly tried to regain traction while turning more to the left, but to no avail, the landy was now facing towards the exit of the bend front offside wheel holding on for dear life in the shallow water, my window half covered in water and the back end drowning/floating. eventually i gave up trying to go easy getting out of there and just gunned it, never have i been so thankfull of mud terrain tyres and traction control, the front tyres dug in, and just pulled me out. Moral of the story, dont trust small stones on a slope for traction

Anyway i know this thread is useless without pics, but i was a bit preoccupied with getting out of that stream at the time, heres some pics of climbing the mountains (basically took pictures every time we got stuck) and a video of coming down along a very dodgy road that had been eaten away by a stream zigzaging down through it...

love the pictures. nuber 3 tops my books mate
good pics
I do like that 3rd pic tho

Thanks Lads :) ill upload some more of those so.

but i can see why yer had a problem with the stream - yer rear step was acting as a rudder!!!

i had considered that but the step was on the other side, i think what must have happned is the nearside rear wheel lifted a bit and lost traction causing the t/c to go off and put power to the offside rear wheel, which then seemed to loose grip, causing the whole back end to swing out and start floating... lesson learned anyway :D
