HI All
Have just returned from some cooling tests that I was assisting one of
the local manfactures with in Uppington. It was quite intersting to
note that air temp after the turbo was in the region of 170 deg cel,
and the intercooler dropped this by abour 70 deg cel. Ambient was
about 40.
Most of the big Euro manufactures use the area during the Norhtern
Hemisphere winter as it is one of the few areas where you consistently
get high 30's temps and can legally exceed 250km/h. Saw the guys from
Porche ringing the neck out of some boxters and 911s.
Anyway, found the intercooler temps interesting and may be of some
interest to the group.
Regards
Stephen
