hey everyone well ive been reading on here about Intercoolers.
some people have said that you can run 2 standerd ones next to each other insted of putting a bigger one on also someone said putting a fan on to it off a small jap car.
so could you do both mods with fan on both Intercoolers and would it make much difference to the performance?
thanks

Taking the viscous off and fitting a elec one yes but fitting two in line is funny as I have never heard of that and can't imagine it would work??

Will be too much pressure to push through two and won't get the air through the second and will block the first too so would think it would decrease bhp.

Would also increase EGT as the turbo will be working harder and will increase air temp to engine too

Seen it suggested about a second standard intercooler, turbo can push the air through no worries. Where the hell you'd mount a 2nd one is an entirely different kettle of fish. If you do it, then keep us posted as I could be tempted. Otherwise look round a scrappy for one of a jap motor supra or similar as you will need one off something 2.5 or over as it should push similar airflow through (measure your inlet/outlet diameters on your standard intercooler 1st). EGT will only be raised if you play with the fuel pump and turbo pressure, but 2nd or uprated intercooler will take care of that by doing its job and cooling the inlet temperature.

You would notice a difference, either with an extra intercooler or a larger jap one thrown in. But you'd need to up the boost pressure and play with the fuel pump as well. Worth a go. Soon as I can get to a scrappy I'll be sorting mine. Dont forget you'll need intercooler pipes as well, to plumb it all in. You'd need to mount a 2nd intercooler, which could be a challenge, but certainly not impossible.
