Constant rain showers are keeping me off the drive, so my mind is turning to other issues.
The intercooler has been boxed up for 17 months and I thought I would have a look at it. Apart from one corner, I can see straight through the fins
It looks shiny clean inside too, but I will flush it.
The fins are getting delicate though and when I pick it up and turn it over lots of aluminium oxide dust is falling out!
You can see some of it on top of the cardboard box.
I don't want to buy a new one at this stage if I can help it, so I'm hoping it will be ok for now. Obviously, this will mean the fins are losing efficiency, but by how much I've no idea.
Is this in ok'ish condition? Do people run with a lot worse?
