Hi guys
Im looking at purchasing a BCM for a Disco 2 from fleabay which is in the states.
The part number equates to the UK one, but was wondering due to vehicle specs if they are likely to be interchangeable. Obviously it would need programming to my vehicle.
Any thoughts anyone?
cheers

We have bought cheap Champion plugs and things like flywheel sensors and the little centre bearing that goes in the front propshaft Double-Cardan joint, all from the States with no problem.

Anything touchy on price we get posted to our friends in Phoenix who re-post to us with suitable pricing for the Customs.

In practice, anuthing less than about $40 will come through, but if you do get trapped, it is handling fee + duty and I think VAT as well.

It also depends where it comes from, ie if it s "personal" item from a "personal address," it will sail through, but if its a part from say Roverland, with a business label etc, it will get seen to and be hit for VAT + Duty at 2.5% on anything over £50

I have bought LOTS of stuff from the US, and never had any issues tbh, most items have been around the £50 mark.

Why are you looking at the US anyway, must be hundreds of BCU's over here.........

any thing above £15 will(should) have vat and duty but if they will send it as a gift or as samples you can get away with it but there are big fines if they get found out so not every one will
and also what happens is they send it buy usps and parecl force take over when it comes over hear thay pay the vat and duty then an extra £15 or 15% (carnt rember) and they wont deliver it to your door untill its been payed for
