I have just completed about a 30000 mile trip around England Scotland and about 15 countries in Europe and have managed to get through them with UK insurance except for the non EU countries where you buy the green card at the boarders.
I will be laying the Rangie up for about 1 year and when i come back want to take it across Asia specifically Russia Mongolia Kazakhstan and a few other "stans"
Does anyone know of an Insurance company that will give third party insurance in these countries?
Last time i travelled in that part of the world i shot through without any and got away with it! but that was in 1998 and i did 38000 miles through Russia . any help would be appreciated thank you

We just bought our insurance at each border as we passed, although when we first entered Russia we missed the kiosk and drove through St Petersburgh and Moscow and then down to Kazakhstan without any, at one point we got stopped 7 times in 1 day and not once were we asked about insurance, lucky I guess.
