The Stainforth ? event is a Tyro competition or something, im gonna enter and see how I get on with that old nail of a Disco I got :D

my renewel with budget was £880 with recovery asked them to review it as id had cheaper quote got them down to £500 told em to shove it where normal cars cant go

380 for me at Lancaster, thats with protected no claims and euro travel cover on a 98 Disco V8i with declared LPG Conversion, but I might still have to call them if other people are getting it for 185! I'll see how I get on! Oh, 9 years NCB and I'm 38 no accidents etc.

Blimey. A lot of you guys are paying a lot?

The three best quotes that I have had this week are £205 from A-Plan, £189 from Adrian Flux, and £185 from Snowball. Thats fully comp, with one years no-claims, all the mods declared, full off-road cover, max mileage 6000 p/a, parked on driveway, aged 31 with no points.

The Chim came in at a staggering £110 via Mannings.

Comparing it to last year, I was paying £460 summot on the Chim and £480 summot on the Disco.

Mind you, the vast majority of firms that I have phoned have refused to quote on one or both of these vehicles. :(

mine is £192 fully comp with the wife on the policy, we both been driving more than 15 years, both have more than 5 years NCB, no accidents etc, thats with Bradford and Bingly via confused dot com, comes with windscreen cover, legal, no hire car, and 30 days green card, oh, im 35 and the wife is 33 this year.....

Just to add to the thread.

I've just had a quote from Lancaster for my 2002MY TD5 manual, no modifications. No off roading cover. 13 years NCD. I'm over 40 and have no convictions on my licence.

£705
