Passed his extendedtest friday in car, went on compare tried to take up quoted around 1600, when we rang to pay deposit we were told because he just passed his test that they dont take into account he passed over 4 1/2 yrs ago. therefore premuim2400 third party. trying to tell them he was banned on a bike not a car and that he only needed to pass either car or bike to get previous entitlement back fell on deaf ears. so just awaiting for license to return to challenge this. what a bunch of ignorant prats. Including adrain flux.............

It's just a rip off no matter what! It's no wander there are so many people driving with no insurance! I don't condone it but it's not hard to see why some people do it! Need a euromillions win at this rate to get insurance! That's not to mention the pice of fuel going up! What a country!!!!!!

What is involved on the extended test that isn't on a regular test?

The usual test but upto twice as long. When booking it was a pain because it had to be a double test slot. They did usual and told him to drive to a certain point quite a distance away to fill time space but told him he had passed within half hour.

Incidently the motorbike insurance were ok no hassle just about £80 extra. they seem to be take into account he was assaulted, was concused and the way inwhich bikers can be treated in motoring offences.

Did he have to redo his theory test? I believe it's £90 to apply for your provisional after a ban!! That true?
