Well after a sunday of swearing, more so getting the old stuff off, I got it finished..

Old stuff would not move with adhesive remover, after several attempts with other chemicals it eventually came off with brake cleaner.

Gave the roof a good clean and sand down as there was some aluminium corrosion.

Then stuck in the self adhesive 6mm Closed cell foam, using heat to get it pliable.

Thanks, Im going to be doin this wherever i can as its made a nice difference already, as for ADHESIVE i purposely bought self adhesive closed cell foam for that reason, ive done a VW caddy with this stuff a year ago and its still stuck like **** to a babies nappy, but my previous attempt on my MK1 golf using spray adhesive came off in 4 months..

Probably the same thing i bought. It worked in places and it WILL not come off however other patches it has come down. Redoing mine soon as its warmer with high temp adhesive

I did the same. Looked great when first done with normal spray on but after a few months sagged like an old Range Rover. Now re done with high temp stuff.
