At the weekend, I'm, going to be fitting a new rad and pressure relief thermostat to my 1.8K Series.

Whilst I have the cooling system drained, it seems to make sense to change the inlet manifold gasket.

Having priced up the parts for this, I was a little surprised to find that the specified nuts are nigh on £4 each:eek: And you need 7 of them:eek::eek:

Is it really necessary to change these when you refit the manifold, or will the old ones still be good?

Cheers,

Ian.

Cheers Freelance.

As it goes, I've bitten the bullet and shelled out for new ones!

Using the car for a tour of the Lake District in two weeks, so trying to leave nothing to chance.

Mind you, I did think it was a bit belt and braces of LR to suggest these get replaced. On the other hand, I guess belt and braces is the way to go for K series owners!

Thanks again,

Ian.
