injector pump

Got a sherpa 2.5 diesel this is the problem the bitch has suddenly started loseing power so cleaned tank put new lift pump and filter on still the same .
Advanced the pump still same slackend 1 to 4 in turn on the injectors each one ok . Renewed all pipework from tank to injectour pump still same .
any ideas of what will make her sweet again please .:doh:

Have you done anything that might have affected it, or was it a sudden drop off of power?

Are you suddenly getting a slight knock on the engine or white smoke from the exhaust?

Hi it slowly lost power over 2 days no knocking it feels like its hunting for fuel always starts first turn of key . starting to think injector pump has a problem would a pump from a discovery fit the tdi 200 .

no wouldnt run properly,air in system is very common cause

its bleeded up ok no air in it cracked each injector in turn and engine trys to stall when they are cracked in turn runs perfect far first 5 mins then no power driveing about at 10 mph .
just getting me mad as cant put my finger on the problem am going to drain tank again and try some fuel from another garage .

you must have air or restricted fuel ,dodgy stop solenoid not opening fully ,if you undo feed on pump is it pumping out lots of fuel,clear pipe in feed pipe is good diagnostic tool,pipes in right order,

tested stop solinoid by removing spring and barrel replaced all pipes from tank to pump one at a time so they are ok just cant see it being air entering or would have problems starting will change fuel then see whats pumping out .

F**** BRITPART sent the wrong lift pump and its snapped the bar that runs off the cam so i am getting one from a decent l/r supplyer

unless youve got a trade account ,you must have bought the part through a supplier who sold you wrong one

correct but the one he sold me came straight from britpart so someone packed the wrong one at there end :doh:
its had a new one fitted and all seems ok now
