Hi all,

I have a standard 2.25 diesel. It has been standing for around 8 years and I thought I'd try getting it going again as the chassis and bulkhead are ok.

I am having trouble with the injector pump - there is no fuel getting through to the injectors.

I have bled (and bled and bled .....) the system at the filter and at both the bleed points on the pump. I think that I have got all the old fuel through.

Whatever I do I can't get any fuel to come out of the injector pump.

I've peeped under the top cover and it is turning ok so the shaft is ok.

I have heard of this happening but I've not been able to find a solution.

Any ideas?

Anybody got a pump they don't want (I don't want to be spending loads on this as it's really just a bit of fun)

OK, you say you have bled and bled, but haven't said if you've got doozil coming out!

Have you removed the high pressure fuel lines from the pump to the injectors?

As there would be no resistance from the injectors, you should have fuel coming out of the ports on the pump ... even a knackered pump should deliver some!

on the top of the pump are four small bolts, undo them and remove the top cover, u will find a vane pump inside and the vanes will be stuck in, free them off and reassemble, bleed, and away you go.
