Injector Problem

Hi, I own a 1988 2.5Tdi defender, My fan belt bust today and whilst it was being changed the AA man said i had a leak on N0 3 Injector and that i would need to find a coragated copper washer??? Anybody know what he means? or have a part number or know where i can get them?

Go to any diesel repair garage, they will give you one. its just a copper washer to seal the injector.

Its a cup shaped washer what sits under the injector in the hole in the cylnder head.
It seals the injector to the head so there is no leakage.

NOTE they also only go in one way, make sure when you get one they tell you which way up it goes .

I would recomend a engine rebuilders shop

Also what can cause derv to leak is the small injector leak off pipes that go between each injector, they go brittle and leak diesel.
they only cost a few quid to replace them and its a 10 min job
